Once a year, you should take your pet in for a check-up. This will include a full physical exam tailored to your pet's life stage, diagnostic testing, vaccinations, and may include teeth and gum cleaning if needed. Dr. Robert Blagg or Dr. Angela Jordan will check the health of your pet from head to tail, a personalized health plan will be created with each visit, and a physical exam report card will be sent home with you to review and keep for your records. Many times, an annual checkup can help avoid costly and painful health problems before your pet even has symptoms.
Before your visit, you can have your previous vet fax or email us a copy of your pet's record, which can save you a lot of time. It's best to keep a journal of your pet's health throughout his or her life, including behavioral shifts. If you have something like this, share it with our team. As with most things, everyone's case will be different, so don't hesitate to ask questions before, during, or after your appointment.
We confirm appointments 1-2 days in advance. If a new client schedules an appointment, he/she must confirm the appointment with us by phonecall, e-mail, or even leaving a message with our answering service; otherwise we will consider your appointment a cancellation.
For the safety of your pets before entering our building, please restrain all animals with a leash or in a carrier. If you need assistance getting your pets out of your vehicle or into the building, please call ahead and we would be happy to help.
